BMW Sauber

BMW Sauber are a Formula 1 Team that was formed in 2005 when the Sauber Formula 1 Racing Team was taken over by car maker BMW. The newly-formed team has bases in both Hinwil in Switzerland and Munich in Germany. In a short space of time the BMW Sauber team has improved steadily each season and in 2008 the team finished third in the Constructors Championship.

The drivers for the 2009 season will be the fast improving Robert Kubica and German racer Nick Heidfeld. 2008 was a breakthrough year for the BMW Sauber Team in the fact that they won their first Grand Prix when Robert Kubica took the chequered flag at the Canadian Grand Prix. BMW Sauber scored points on a consistent bases throughout the 2008 season which contributed to the outstanding 3rd place in the Constructors Standings.

BMW Sauber will once again be hoping to continue their progress this season and will be hoping to push the bigger teams all the way in every race.
