Mercedes Formula 1 Team
Mercedes F1 are a relatively new Formula 1 Team having only taken over from Brawn GP in 2010 but they are of course a worldwide brand with plenty of power and money to their name. They are registered under a German licence and many expect them to be extremely competitive during the 2012 season both in the Drivers and Constructors Championship. Ross Brawn has vast experience in F1 and he remains the team principal as they look to battle with the likes of Red Bull and McLaren.

The team has a German licence so it makes sense that in Nico Rosberg and Michael Schumacher they have two top class German Formula 1 Drivers. Schumacher is of course the big name having come out of retirement in 2010 to join the team in the hope of adding to his record seven Drivers Championships. The former Ferrari driver has struggled a little bit since his return but there were one or two encouraging signs during 2011 and the 2012 season will be crucial for his future in the sport.
Nico Rosberg is another well respected driver and is still relatively young making him one to keep an eye on for the future. He has consistently out scored his more famous team mate over the past couple of years and although he is yet to win a Grand Prix that cannot be far off.
Mercedes have proven themselves as the fourth best team on the grid over the past two years which is something they will be desperate to improve on in 2012. They simply have not been able to match the pace of Ferrari, Red Bull or McLaren which will be unacceptable to a team like Mercedes so punters can expect them to be closer in the new season.
